We have a bit of an unusual one for our second instalment in this year's Fringe.
Join resident Whisky fetishist Jamie as he guides you through the key aspects of Whisky production, how these processes influence taste, and ultimately gain a better insight into why we like the Whiskies we like.
There will be 6 Scotch Whiskies tasted through the night, all of which owe a key flavour profile to one specific part of the Whisky production process - be that their barley source, the shape of the still, the final barrel ageing, etc - ranging from different distilleries, regions and age statements.
The aim of the night is that everybody walks away with a better understanding of what they like about Whisky, no longer shackled by preconceived alliances to Whisky regions or companies, no longer swayed by Whisky colour, or age statement. It's a chance to get a bit nerdy, drink some delicious Whisky, and hopefully learn something.
We'll laugh, we'll sip... we'll have a jolly good time.
Thursday 12th of July
